Hatch
Eraser with a Cracking Shell
Hatch is an eraser designed around the moment of being new.
Its white rubber core is enclosed in a thin hard shell that must be cracked and peeled away before use, much like opening a boiled egg. As the shell comes off, the eraser is revealed smooth, clean and untouched.
By turning the packaging into part of the first interaction, Hatch makes the simple act of opening something new feel more deliberate and memorable.
